KENZIE KRIEGER

Kenzie Krieger is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Her yoga studies are grounded in the five elements of Hatha Yoga. Kenzie has dealt with auto-immune issues, including arthritis, which is one of the reasons why she is so passionate about yoga and treating the body with respect.

She has a background in sports and studied anatomy and physiology for years. Kenzie understands what the body needs to recharge and relax. She builds classes that are safe and sustainable for all students. If you have any injuries, Kenzie will work with you to find movements that are safe and effective for your body and aid in your healing journey. You do not have to be flexible or look a certain way to do yoga. The focus of yoga is to learn more about yourself and what you are capable of. She will design classes to help work towards your goals, whether they are physical, mental, or emotional. The style of yoga Kenzie teaches is inquiry-based, she will encourage you to notice the sensations felt within yourself. Each practice encourages a greater connection with one’s mind, body, and soul. You will use the breath to guide the body through movement and stillness while providing time to be sensitive with oneself.

Kenzie continually studies the branches and philosophy of yoga, how to optimize movement through kinesiology, and how to calm the nervous system through mindfulness and meditation. She is certified in Yin Yoga, which is a slow practice that focuses on the body’s connective tissues and helps balance the fast-paced Yang lifestyle. In Kenzie’s journey to improve as a teacher, she is currently working towards her 85-hour Pre/Postnatal Yoga Certification and 95-hour Children’s Yoga Certification.
